Leandri Ferreira
Leandri qualified as an Occupational Therapist in 2009 after completing her degree at the University of the Free State in South Africa.
She is passionate about supporting children and families to overcome everyday challenges, combining creativity and clinical knowledge to make therapy both meaningful and enjoyable.
Her practice is guided by Ayres Sensory Integration (ASI®) and the DIR-Floortime® model, both of which focus on understanding each child’s unique strengths and needs. She also draws on additional approaches such as Therapeutic Listening, Neurodevelopmental Techniques, and the Interoception Curriculum to help children develop sensory, emotional, and self-regulation skills.
Over the past 16 years, Leandri has worked in hospitals, schools, private practices, and neurodiversity assessment centres. She especially enjoys supporting autistic children and those with ADHD, dyspraxia (DCD), and other developmental differences.
Leandri is a consultant for Dyspraxia UK and part of The Wired Collective, an international group of therapists committed to innovative, child-centred practice. She is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and Royal College of Occupational Therapy (RCOT).
She’s excited to be to be part of the Kid Kind family, sharing her enthusiasm and experience within the collective of other passionate and highly skilled paediatric therapists.
